Barret Ehgoetz and Ryan Del Monte Recalled to Rochester

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that captain Barret Ehgoetz and forward Ryan Del Monte have been recalled to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Ehgoetz, the sixth-year center, made his professional debut with Rochester during the 2004-05 season, skating in just one game with the Americans.  He hasn’t been back to the AHL since.   Cincinnati’s captain owns 21 team records including the career scoring lead (235 points), games played (273), assists (152), and shorthanded goals (eight).  Last night he recorded his 12th career game-winning tally in a 5-4 OT victory over Elmira.  He is the only Cyclone to have played in each of Chuck Weber’s four seasons in Cincinnati.

Del Monte will also be making his second career trip to the AHL.  In 2008-09, he appeared in five games with the Lake Erie Monsters – collecting a pair of assists.  In 48 career games with the Cyclones, Del Monte has posted 27 points (9 goals, 18 assists).  Before the 2010-11 season began, he skated in Rochester’s training camp.

The Americans are on the ice this evening against the Adirondack Phantoms at 5:05pm and Tuesday night they’ll face the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00pm.  The Cyclones, meanwhile, won’t play again until Saturday when they will visit the Kalamazoo Wings in the first of a two-game weekend set.

The defending Kelly Cup Champion Cyclones open their home schedule on Saturday, October 30 at U.S. Bank Arena against the Wheeling Nailers.  Discounted ticket packages and single game tickets for the 2010-2011 season are available now.  For more information, call 513.421.PUCK (7825) or visit CyclonesHockey.com.
