JOHANSSON RECALLED BY ROCHESTER

Netminder 3-1-0-0 in Last Five Starts

 

Cincinnati, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Buffalo Sabres and American Hockey League’s (AHL) Rochester Americans, have announced that goaltender Jonas Johansson has been recalled by the Americans.

A native of Galve, SWE, Johansson has appeared in 11 games for the Cyclones this season, posting a 6-4-0-0 record along with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. Johansson made his North American debut last season with Rochester appearing in seven games and posting a 3-3-1 record along with a 2.85 GAA and a .892 SV%.

The 22-year old spent three seasons with Almtuna of Sweden's second professional league prior to his time in North America, posting a 47-38 record with a 2.36 GAA and a .911 SV%. In 2013-14, he also appeared in eight games in Sweden's top professional league for Brynäs (SHL).
