PASSOLT RECALLED TO ROCHESTER

Forward Josh Passolt has earned his first AHL call-up to the Rochester Americans; Cincinnati's AHL affiliate.  Rochester plays its regular season finale on home ice Saturday night against Cleveland.

Passolt, 26, signed a two-way AHL contract with the Americans this past summer following a brief stint with Cincinnati at the end of last season. The Hayward, Wisconsin native appeared in six regular season games, before skating in four Kelly Cup Playoff contests. Passolt has spent all of the 2022-23 campaign to date with Cincinnati, scoring 25 goals and 47 points across 69 games. His 25 goals are third most on the team and seventh among all ECHL rookies.

"Josh has worked hard to round-out his game all season to earn this shot with Rochester," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Jason Payne. "He has explosive speed and can score goals; that's his game, but he's learned to add layers to compliment that scoring touch. He's useful in all situations; five-on-five, power play, penalty kill, and we look forward to seeing him showcase that at the next level."

Before turning pro, Passolt spent five seasons at Western Michigan University, serving as an Alternate Captain each of the last two years. He totaled 44 goals and 64 assists for 108 points in 166 NCAA games, all while being named to the NCHC All-Academic Team four times, along with being a two-time Scholar Athlete.

The Cyclones finish out their regular season Saturday night against Kansas City.
